As a Financial Analyst in our “Commercial & Investment Banking Treasury (CIBT) Liquidity Analytics team”, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal presentations for senior management, business segment leadership, or the broader CB audience on various economic and strategic deposit-related topics.
- Provide weekly and monthly management reporting on the deposit portfolio, including balance trending, market rates and pricing, exception reporting, and segment-level portfolio overviews.
- Monitor product performance monthly, providing in-depth variance analysis and business outlook to senior leaders.
- Design and build new reports to provide management with information on product performance, portfolio insights, product pricing, and other key KPIs highlighting business/segment performance.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on various business subjects, providing valuable data-driven insights to facilitate business decision-making.
- Liaise with controllers in case of discrepancies and ensure detailed understanding of actuals.
- Take responsibility and accountability for maintaining robust quality control and standards.
- Complete ad hoc projects/tasks as requested.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CA/ CFA/ MBA - Finance (Tier 2) or equivalent qualified having minimum 1 year experience in Financial Services, and/or controller/regulatory reporting background
- Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Ability to carry out complex tasks under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems and ability to consider multiple dimensions of an issue
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously in a fast-pace environment
- Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner
- Self-starter, able to prioritize key tasks & manage deliverables effectively
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Handy with tools like – Alteryx, Tableau. Cognos, SAP BI, Hyperion
