Job responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of data architects on daily tasks and activities
- Sets overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver data architecture solutions in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Experience leading data architecture projects
- Experience managing data architects
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of data architecture methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience working at code level
