Job Description

Join our fun, high-performing team as a Business Data Analyst II in Chase Home Lending and put your exceptional knowledge to work to identify and solve complex issues. You will have the opportunity to shape and implement strategic initiatives that increase sales efficiency and effectiveness. This role offers you the chance to collaborate with key stakeholders across various departments, including Decision Science, Marketing, and Technology, and to make a significant impact on our sales strategies.

As a Business Data Analyst II in the Consumer Originations Sales team, you will have the opportunity to provide analytical and critical support on all aspects of sales performance. This includes in-depth business strategy analyses, data/analytics, streamlining current processes, problem-solving, and presenting analytical results as informative and actionable reporting. This role offers the chance to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions and promote innovation in home lending products and services.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions and drive innovation in home lending products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, product, sales, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy business solutions by established timelines.
  • Present analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sales performance metrics, addressing ad-hoc stakeholder inquiries and refining assumptions and KPI-tracking to align with business objectives.
  • Conduct scenario and impact assessments to evaluate the operational and financial implications of strategic initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a data and analytical role
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or finance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel for spreadsheet management. Demonstrated ability to develop complex formulas and create dynamic pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management
  • Experience working with large data sets and conducting exploratory data analysis
  • Familiarity with home lending practices, mortgage products, and regulatory requirements
