What you Can Expect

As a trainee in the 2026 Sydney Traineeship Program within JPMorgan Chase, you will participate in a 2-year paid program, gaining essential knowledge and skills to build a dynamic, long-term career with us. You will have the opportunity to work on either the Operations or Finance & Business Management tracks, optimizing services for global clients or engaging in financial analysis and reporting. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the integrity of financial statements, and contribute to strategic business decisions.

We're looking for results-oriented individuals with enthusiasm for developing strategies that optimize business operations.

Finance and Business Management

Finance & Business Management offers challenging opportunities to work on local regulatory reporting, month end close process and project-related work on new products/or system implementation. You will get to understand a wide range of different derivative products, the implications of control issues and their potential impact on the legal entity financial statements and regulatory filings. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for analysis that will help drive strategic business decisions.

Job responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and group heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks and optimizing business performance by driving key initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; performing critical reporting and controls functions for the organization.
  • Create meaningful analysis and reporting in support of our businesses. Coordinate with partners across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, creation, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Contribute to programs that are large scale and comprised of multiple projects and work streams.
  • Create effective procedures and support process improvement that are adhered to company standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of team tasks and responsibilities.
  • Become a key Intelligent Solutions member and work on automation initiatives across the team.
  • Actively engage in learning the operational processes within Operations.
  • Represent team through a wide array of People initiatives across the organization.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Must be a current Year 12 student and have obtained a high school certificate by the time the program commences
  • Must not have commenced or graduated from a degree, Certificate IV qualification, or higher at the time the program commences. Participation in the Traineeship Program requires full-time commitment, and you will not be able to study concurrently.
  • Must be Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in teams to deliver results
  • Highly motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to start work in March 2026
