The Position







To Qualify

  1. Knowledge of public works construction practices related to sidewalks, pavement repair, or transportation infrastructure.
  2. Knowledge of construction estimating, quantity verification, and cost documentation.
  3. Experience interpreting engineering plans, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  4. Experience exercising independent judgment and making sound decisions regarding project delivery, contractor performance, and public safety.
  5. Ability to review contractor invoices, verify completed work, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  6. Ability to monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and project standards.

Applicant must also possess:
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Experience performing professional work related to sidewalk or pavement repair, public works inspections, construction management, contract administration, or closely related infrastructure programs

Step 2: Minimum Qualification Evaluation: Week of September 14, 2026
  • An evaluation of each applicant's training and paid and unpaid experience, as demonstrated in their resume and cover letter, is weighted 100%.
  • Your resume and cover letter will be the basis for our evaluation of your qualifications for this position. Incomplete or inappropriate information may result in disqualification.

  • Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on the equally ranked eligible list.
Step 4: Selection (Interview): Week of October 5, 2026
  • The hiring bureau will review and select candidates to interview.
Step 5: Offer of Employment: Week of October 14, 2026
Step 6: Start Date: Week of November 16, 2026
  • A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
