The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist to own Canopy’s social media presence and contribute to our broader content marketing initiatives. This is both a strategic and hands-on role — you’ll set the direction for our social channels and also roll up your sleeves to create compelling content that engages our audience.

This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office).

What You’ll Do:

  • Own Canopy’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day publishing, engagement, and performance tracking on social channels.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly content calendars aligned with campaigns and business priorities.
  • Create social-first content (graphics, short videos, thought leadership, polls, etc.).
  • Monitor trends, industry news, and competitor activity to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth) and optimize content based on data.
  • Interact with industry influencers and customers on social platforms to strengthen share of voice and relationships.
  • Work strategically with influencers and customers to post content relevant to their work with the brand (i.e. customer quotes, webinar promotions, blog promotions, etc.)
  • Serve as the voice of Canopy online — maintaining a consistent, approachable brand tone.
  • Work as the producer and editor of the Canopy podcast, which includes scheduling guests, providing guidance to interviewers, editing podcasts, and posting to podcast platforms.
  • Work cross-functionally with product marketing, demand gen, and sales to support campaign needs.
  • Attend industry events and contribute to on-site coverage via social.
  • Work with the rest of the content team to create other types of content, such as blogs, webinars, case studies, etc.
  • Support ad-hoc marketing projects and initiatives as needed.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3-5 years experience in B2B SaaS content marketing, with a strong focus on social media and content.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage brand social media accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writer with previous experience writing for a brand.
  • Experience managing social media channels and/or communities for a business.
  • Self-starter with the ability to build content from scratch.
  • Basic video editing or visual content creation experience.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms to aid in doing your job, including AI content generators, podcast editors, etc.
  • You know how to empathize, connect, and communicate with very different audiences.
  • Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation settings.
  • Self-awareness, confidence, and a proactive attitude.

We know many women do not apply for a job if they don't perfectly fit the description. We want you to apply anyway.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Knowledge of marketing at different points in the customer lifecycle.
