The Opportunity
We are hiring a Desktop Support to ensure our onsite technology and collaborative spaces are seamless, functional, and ready for high-stakes work. At Canopy, our IT team does more than just reset passwords; they are the architects of our physical and digital workspace. From mastering the macOS ecosystem to engineering the perfect conference room setup, you will be the go-to expert for all things hardware and software. We love technicians who are proactive, handy with a toolkit, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. If you enjoy a mix of deep technical troubleshooting and active, hands-on physical projects, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office).
What You’ll Do
- Ticket Management: Rapidly resolve incoming support requests via our ticketing system, balancing immediate "break-fix" needs with long-term projects.
- Physical Infrastructure: Lead onsite "build" projects, including mounting TVs, speakers, and projectors, as well as running/terminating cables through ceilings and conduits.
- Provision, deploy, and manage Mac hardware through JAMF Pro and Apple Business Manager. Inventory all systems using Snipe-IT.
- Google Workspace Administration: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within the Google Workspace Admin Console.
- Lead the technical side of new employee onboarding, including account setup, software provisioning, hardware configuration, and a smooth first-day experience.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in desktop support, or IT helpdesk
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders safely, work in tight spaces (under desks/server closets) and above ceiling cable runs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to finish the things that really matter without being sidetracked.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, and Ubiquiti,
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for end users

Interviewing @ Canopy
Application processes can be a little stressful. Here are the stages of a typical interview process at Canopy:
- Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it’s a mutual fit!
- 20-minute phone call with the People Team
- 30-minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager
- 1-3 rounds of interviews, depending on the role
- Final Interview
Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role-specific overview of the process during your first phone call.
Remember: This is your interview too! We know candidates are evaluating us just as much as we are them. We encourage you to bring questions to each of your interviews—our hiring teams will always make sure to save time for questions at the end!
