About this team / Day In a Life

The Fleet Quality team is Coco’s front line when it comes to understanding — and improving — how our delivery robots perform in the real world. As a member of this team, you’ll take a data-driven approach to uncovering patterns, diagnosing failures, and driving long-term fixes across both hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze field data from system logs, field reports, customer support, and dashboards to detect and track failure trends.

  • Utilize data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, OpenSearch, and Grafana to process, interpret, and visualize complex datasets.

  • Design and execute targeted test plans to isolate individual failures and identify root causes.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and deploy test fixtures and assemblies that enhance robot reliability.

  • Provide comprehensive feedback to hardware and software engineering teams on failure modes to support the development of robust solutions.

  • Aggregate, synthesize, and present insights on key issues and trends to stakeholders and company leadership in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Work with robot technicians and engineers to develop and maintain detailed standard operating procedures for robot repairs, upgrades, commissioning, and calibration.

  • Conduct in-depth failure analyses of hardware and software systems to the root cause level.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, robotics, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with Python and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience with robotics hardware and/or software systems.

  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Sigma and Grafana.

  • Experience working with embedded Linux systems.

  • Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence for team collaboration and documentation.
