Role Overview
As a founding Renewals Manager at CodeRabbit, you will own and drive customer renewals across our growing customer base. You will play a critical role in protecting and expanding recurring revenue by ensuring seamless renewal experiences, mitigating churn risk, and identifying expansion opportunities in partnership with the Customer Success and Sales teams.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that requires strong commercial acumen, customer empathy, and operational discipline. We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Renewals Manager to lead this critical, revenue-impacting function.
Key Responsibilities
Own the renewals process and maintain strong renewal playbooks.
Manage the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for a portfolio of customers.
Forecast renewals accurately, proactively identify at-risk accounts, and develop retention strategies to reduce churn risk and protect revenue.
Drive renewal conversations and timely contract execution to reduce renewal cycle times.
Ensure clean handoffs among Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.
Develop analytics and insights to identify retention and expansion signals
Maintain accurate data across CRM, billing, and analytics systems
Build and refine renewal dashboards, reporting, and KPIs for Customer Success, Sales, and executive leadership teams
Qualifications
Great candidates often have these qualifications:
5+ years in Renewals, Customer Success, Account Management, or Revenue Operations within a SaaS or developer tools company.
Experience managing contract renewals and subscription revenue.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal targets.
Demonstrated excellence in launching and building scalable processes.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — able to write and speak fluently to GTM, engineering, procurement, legal, and executive teams.
Data-driven and comfortable working with forecasting and revenue metrics — capable of turning platform analytics into strategic recommendations.
Thrives in ambiguity and capable of self-direction in a fast-paced startup environment.
Familiarity with developer tools or technical products is a strong plus.
