Conviva is seeking a Senior Customer Success Engineer to help manage and grow some of Conviva's largest media, entertainment, and publisher accounts. Customer Success Engineers at Conviva serve as the trusted technical advisors for our customers. They improve value, offer advice, and grow accounts. As the complexity grows for both us and our customers, we are looking to our Customer Success Engineers to strategize and lead customers to solutions. This is done with use case discovery, Conviva evangelism, and oftentimes teaching the product to new users.

A Customer Success Engineer must be ready to interact and have technical discussions with data scientists and engineers, then demonstrate the value of Conviva in business discussions with company executives. The goal is to enable our customers to become successful and enthusiastic Conviva champions. A Customer Success Engineer has a key role internally as well. You will be dynamic and highly cross-functional. Armed with key customer insight and knowledge, a Customer Success Engineer must regularly work with the sales, product, engineering, support, and marketing teams.

*Our hybrid work environment combines the benefits of both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You'll be based in our Foster City, CA office (or our New York office) and work three days a week alongside your team, with the remaining two days spent working from the location of your choice.

What you get to do:

  • Discover and analyze individual customer goals and challenges and map those back to Conviva’s suite of solutions.
  • Answer technical questions from prospects and customers regarding Conviva technology, features, solutions, and applications, as well as articulate Conviva technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
  • Present customized story-driven demonstrations aligned with key business value and solution differentiation.
  • Nurture relationships with the client and help foster collaboration between Conviva teams and the clients’ teams, creating win-win environments.
  • Evangelize the value of Conviva’s solutions and help our clients extract maximum value from our services.
  • Become a trusted advisor for the customer and help define their integration strategy.

What you bring to the role:

  • 5+ years experience working in customer-facing technical roles (in Customer Success, consulting, or related discipline).
  • Experience leading meetings and presentations in a pre-sales and/or post-sales capacity.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills, with experience up-selling/growing accounts.
  • Experience and proficiency with Conviva and/or demonstrated expertise in video/digital streaming services is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and consulting skills (i.e - strategic, technological) with a service-driven, sales mindset.
  • Ability to analyze and digest data to tell a cohesive story, as well as high capacity to learn new technology/terminology/products.
  • Flexible, adaptable, organized, hungry to learn and grow.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, working with big data sets and advertising/media analytics a BIG PLUS.
  • Experience with data mining and data visualization to see beyond the numbers and enable customers to operationalize our data for the purposes of strategic planning as well as tactical root-cause analysis a BIG PLUS.
  • Working knowledge of OTT video delivery technology, is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical field is a plus.

The expected salary (on-target earnings) range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $150,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
