The HR Director serves as a strategic business partner to global and regional business unit leadership teams. This role drives the development and execution of HR and workplace strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness, enhance employee engagement, and enable business success. The HR Director leads both people initiatives and workplace operations to ensure a cohesive, productive, and inclusive employee experience.

What Success Will Look Like:

  • Act as a global strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior and VP-level leaders, providing direction on organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Serve as a leadership coach to business leaders, supporting skill development in communication, performance management, and team leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights and influence to align stakeholders and drive strategic HR and workplace initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the HR and workplace teams.
  • Coach and develop HR team members to strengthen their strategic capabilities, business acumen, and partnership effectiveness.

Core Areas of Focus:

  • Employee Relations: Mitigate risk by promptly addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and collaborating with legal as appropriate.
  • Workforce Planning & Organizational Development: Assess current and future workforce needs, define role requirements, and design solutions to meet business goals.
  • Performance & Leadership Development: Champion a high-performance culture through goal setting, coaching, and feedback. Partner with leaders to align performance outcomes with growth and rewards.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, develop, and retain top talent through deliberate and inclusive hiring strategies.
  • Succession Planning: Lead business unit talent reviews, identify successors for key roles, and implement retention plans for critical talent.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee annual compensation cycles and equity planning; ensure competitive pay practices and alignment with business performance.
  • Workplace Leadership: Oversee facilities, space planning, and workplace experience to ensure a safe, efficient, and engaging work environment.

Who You Are & What You've Done:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in HRD position, including leadership responsibility in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience managing workplace operations or facilities programs alongside core HR functions.
  • Proven success leading experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with American start-up company culture and the ability to adapt HR practices to a dynamic, entrepreneurial context.
  • Industry experience in Technology, AI, Big Data, SaaS, or B2B (To-B) organizations strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive global strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-regional collaboration, building cohesion and alignment across global teams.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
