The Head of Analytics will lead a cross-functional team that will include individual contributors contributing to various client facing as well as internal reporting needs. This role partners closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure reporting tools are effective, scalable, and aligned with user needs. Responsibilities include overseeing report development, managing the reporting backlog, improving product documentation, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. The Head of Analytics plays a key role in shaping reporting strategy, standardizing our data gathering and reporting tech stack, mentoring team members, and driving operational excellence across reporting functions.
Responsibilities will Include
- Manage the intake, prioritisation, and resolution of reporting feature requests and bugs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and refine reporting requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide oversight on user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure the quality and functionality of reporting deliverables.
- Supervise team members, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with departmental goals.
- Maintain internal and external documentation for reports and reporting frameworks.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the overall usability and user experience of the reporting suite, focusing on key areas like data integrity, report performance, and workflow automation.
- Leverage data on report usage, performance metrics, and development lifecycles to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement for the entire reporting platform.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
- Help drive Quality initiatives by way of detailed test plans, test cases, and oversee UAT test and regression testing to prevent downstream issues
- Own Bug Diagnosis and Resolution - Act as the first line of defence for incoming bugs. Lead technical diagnosis of new issues, document findings, and ensure their prioritisation and resolution adhere to company SLA policies.
- Facilitate all agile ceremonies in coordination with the engineering team.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of client-facing standard reporting solutions at Entrata.
- Help define requirements for any customer-specific reports
- Amplitude and Product usage reporting
- Intersection of Suites Product Reporting and cross-product synergies
- Marketing Analytics reporting
- Help with internal reporting needs around R&D operations, product planning
- FP&A Reporting support
- Lead and prioritise multiple reporting projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Standardize our data gathering and reporting tech stack to ensure scalability and ease of adoption.
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Interpret complex data and reporting requirements into actionable development plans.
- Manage and support the performance and development of direct reports.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
- Maintain professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Establish a framework for success by defining, tracking, and visualising key team metrics (e.g., report adoption, data quality, resolution time) through automated, real-time dashboards.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing reporting initiatives in a product or SaaS environment.
- Proficiency with SQL and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate across functions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in engineering, reporting, data analysis, or related functions, including experience in people management or team leadership
- Experience working with agile teams and collaborating with product and engineering functions.
