Lead Product Manager, Business Systems

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Business Systems Product Manager with deep expertise in Financial Systems to own the strategy, development, and optimization of our finance technology ecosystem. This role is a key partner to Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams, ensuring our systems not only meet today’s needs but are built to scale with the business.
You’ll bring a strong command of finance operations, including procure-to-pay (P2P), quote-to-cash (Q2C), order-to-cash (O2C), record-to-report (R2R), and FP&A, to design and deliver streamlined, data-driven, and integrated solutions across ERP, CRM, billing, payment, procurement, expense management, and other revenue platforms.
You will proactively identify high impact opportunities, define business requirements, and deliver end-to-end solutions. Success will be measured through improvements in areas such as user satisfaction, accuracy, billing cycle time, cost savings, data quality, system adoption, compliance, audit pass-rates, and timely roadmap execution.

What You Will Own
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a suite of financial systems in alignment with Finance and company goals.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies or optimizations to existing systems in alignment with strategic business objectives.
Ensure seamless integration across Salesforce Billing, ERP, and other platforms to enable P2P, Q2C, R2R, and FP&A efficiency.
Champion user experience across both internal and customer-facing touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Influence organizational alignment through strong stakeholder relationships and communication.
Define and prioritize requirements in partnership with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Business Systems, IT, and external partners.
Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making through clear documentation, prioritization, and communication.
Build financial data strategies for customers, vendors, and data table dimensions.
Bridge the gap between technical teams and business users, translating complex requirements into actionable plans.
Partner with engineering teams on API/middleware strategies (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato) to support scalable system integrations.
Data Driven-Decision Making
Conduct discovery to identify pain points and optimization opportunities.
Work with analytics and FP&A to conduct analyses, develop hypotheses, and inform strategic decisions.
Define KPIs and metrics to track system performance and business impact.
Implementation & Optimization
Lead complex system implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
Continuously evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Champion automation and workflow improvements that reduce manual effort and increase financial and accounting accuracy.
Ensure systems are compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GAAP, etc.).
Oversee end-to-end project delivery: requirements, design, testing, training, and post-launch support.
Develop training to boost user self-service and adoption.
Governance, Compliance, & Reporting
Design and maintain integrations between Salesforce Billing and ERP platforms (e.g., Intacct, NetSuite), including journal entries, payment reconciliation, revenue scheduling, and subledger reporting.
Define financial data schemas, validation logic, and transformation layers to ensure high-quality, audit-ready reporting.
Ensure systems support traceability, audit trails, real-time syncs, and robust error handling.
Work closely with data, analytics, and FP&A teams to ensure financial systems provide accurate and timely data.
Partner with Finance, FP&A, IT, and Security to define roles, permissions, and governance protocols.
Domain Expertise & Mentorship
Act as a financial systems subject matter expert and thought partner.
Coach and mentor others on the business systems product team.
Shape internal best practices to scale team impact and system maturity.
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
Experience in a SaaS or technology-driven organization.
Proactive problem-solver, with the ability to create clarity from ambiguity.
8+ years of experience in product management, business systems, systems architecture, or information systems, with a deep specialization in financial systems.
5+ years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting, with a strong grasp of core financial principles and processes including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Demonstrated success in leading financial system integrations and consolidations in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Well-versed in financial data architecture and enterprise reporting frameworks.
Extensive experience managing ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Intacct, SAP, Oracle Cloud, and Workday Financials.
Proven track record of overseeing an integrated suite of financial systems, including accounting platforms, FP&A tools, procurement systems, spend management solutions, and compliance/audit applications; examples include SAP, Coupa, Airbase, Adaptive, Spiff, Floqast, ADP, etcStrong background in systems integration and business process automation.
Proficient in managing Salesforce Billing and Salesforce CPQ, including end-to-end integration with downstream ERP systems like NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, and SAP.
Strong experience leading system design and cross-functional projects with Finance, RevOps, and Accounting teams.
Exceptional project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Strong analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Familiarity with compliance and audit standards (SOX, ASC 606, etc.).
What Will Make Us Love You
Certifications in Salesforce, CPQ, or Billing.
Possesses a solid understanding of financial data structures, relational databases, and system architecture.
Comfortable reviewing and interpreting integration flows, API documentation, and data mappings.
Able to partner effectively with engineering to evaluate system design decisions, troubleshoot data issues, and validate technical feasibility of new features.
Familiarity with ETL processes, SaaS integration tools (e.g., Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft), and ERP customizations.
