We are seeking a highly skilled and delivery-focused Salesforce Development Manager to lead a team of Salesforce developers, administrators, and quality engineers based in India. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep Salesforce expertise across Sales Cloud, CPQ & Billing, and Revenue Cloud / RLM, combined with the organizational ability to manage a full software development lifecycle and a cross-cultural, globally distributed team.
You will serve as the primary technical liaison between our US-based and India-based teams, drive platform excellence, own architectural decisions, and ensure our Salesforce solutions are delivered with precision, scalability, and speed.
This position will be remote
This position will report to: Sr. Manager Salesforce Development
What You Will Own
-
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 1–5 Salesforce developers, administrators, and QA engineers based in India.
Own hiring and performance management: conduct interviews, set performance goals, deliver reviews, and manage career development plans.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and technical excellence across the team.
Run and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Cross-Team Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary technical bridge between the US and India development teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Partner closely with Product & Business Systems Analysts, Finance & Revenue Operations, and Sales & GTM teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Engage with external clients and vendor partners on integration scoping, solution design, and delivery coordination.
-
Technical Architecture & Development
Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and declarative platform tools.
Own CPQ quoting and pricing rule design — managing product catalogs, pricing waterfall configurations, approval workflows, and quote template logic.
Lead Salesforce Billing and revenue recognition flow architecture, including invoice generation, payment processing, revenue schedules, and Sage Intacct integration.
Drive Revenue Cloud / RLM implementation and enhancements, ensuring alignment with evolving go-to-market models.
Architect and oversee custom API and integration solutions, with hands-on experience across:
MuleSoft integration middleware
DocuSign / Conga for contract lifecycle management
Sage Intacct (ERP/financial system)
Snowflake / BigQuery data warehouse connectivity
Lead data migration efforts: scoping, mapping, ETL design, and post-migration validation across org consolidations or platform upgrades.
-
Platform Governance & Delivery
Own end-to-end platform governance: environment strategy, release management, sandbox refresh cycles, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (Salto, Jenkins).
Conduct technical design reviews ensuring solutions meet security, performance, and governor limit standards.
Oversee the full SDLC from requirements verification through QA, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
Uphold and enforce code quality standards, peer review processes, and documentation practices across the team.
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of hands-on Salesforce configuration and development experience.
3+ years of experience leading a team of Salesforce developers and/or administrators.
Proven delivery experience across Sales Cloud, CPQ & Billing, and Revenue Cloud.
Technical Skills
Expert-level proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce CPQ: product rules, pricing rules, quote templates, approval workflows, and advanced approvals.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Billing: invoice runs, payment gateways, revenue recognition, and financial close processes.
Familiarity with Revenue Cloud / RLM (Revenue Lifecycle Management) configuration and data model.
Integration experience with MuleSoft, DocuSign/Conga, Sage Intacct, and data warehouse platforms (Snowflake).
Experience with source control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Salto, Jenkins).
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform governance limits, security model, and deployment best practices.
QA Management Skills
Demonstrated experience managing a QA or quality engineering team, including hiring, performance management, and skills development.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies: functional, regression, integration, performance testing, and UAT facilitation.
Experience with Salesforce-specific testing approaches including Apex unit test coverage, sandbox data seeding, and deployment validation.
Familiarity with test automation frameworks applicable to Salesforce (e.g., Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, Selenium, or similar).
Ability to define acceptance criteria standards in collaboration with Product and Business stakeholders.
Experience tracking quality metrics and producing test summary reports for leadership and release sign-off.
What Will Make Us Love You
An energetic and dynamic leader who inspires and motivates their team to achieve great things.
Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of bridging cultural and technical gaps between geographically dispersed teams.
A proactive problem-solver who can anticipate challenges and propose creative solutions.
A genuine interest in mentoring junior developers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Driving impact through innovation and accuracy in regards to Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Billing.
A collaborative mindset, you work as a partner with Finance, Revenue Ops, and Sales, not just as a development team vendor.
