We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to build, lead, and scale our SDR function from the ground up. If you’ve got experience leading outbound teams at high-growth SaaS startups and love coaching reps to hit (and beat) pipeline targets, we want to talk.
What You’ll Do
Recruit, train, and lead a team of SDRs focused on outbound prospecting
Own pipeline generation goals and report on key metrics (meetings booked, conversion, activity, etc.)
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine ICP, messaging, and campaign strategy
Implement tooling and processes for outreach, sequencing, and performance tracking
Create a culture of learning, energy, and accountability
Own onboarding and training of new BDRs/SDRs through structured, repeatable programs that ramp reps quickly and effectively
Conduct regular coaching sessions to develop SDR skills in prospecting, objection handling, and qualification
Partner with sales leaders to identify target accounts and craft outreach strategies for outbound campaigns
Present team performance and strategic insights to leadership, aligning on growth opportunities and resource needs
Continuously refine playbooks and processes to improve team productivity and effectiveness
What You Bring
2+ years in sales development, with 2–4 years of SDR management experience, ideally at a Series A–C B2B SaaS startup
Leadership Skills: Strong coaching, motivational, and team-building capabilities with a track record of developing high-performing SDRs
Proven ability to build or scale SDR teams from 0 → 1 (or 1 → many)
Deep understanding of outbound prospecting, cold email/call strategy, and pipeline metrics
Comfortable working in Salesforce, Outreach, Calendly, and modern sales stacks
Experience working closely with Marketing, RevOps, and AE teams
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and optimize performance
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and align teams
Core Competencies:
Builder's Mentality: You don’t just manage a process — you build it. You’ve created outbound strategies, call frameworks, and onboarding programs from scratch in environments where nothing existed before.
Startup-Ready Leadership: You thrive in ambiguity, adapt on the fly, and know how to lead through change. You bring urgency without chaos and structure without bureaucracy.
Hands-On Coaching: You’re a player-coach who can jump into cold calls or sequence reviews one minute, then run a team strategy session the next. You know how to level up junior reps fast.
Results-Oriented Operator: You own the number and drive performance through clear expectations, KPI accountability, and a no-excuses mindset — without burning your team out
Data-Driven, But Not Data-Obsessed: You know which metrics matter, which ones are noise, and how to use data to coach, forecast, and improve the outbound engine.
Cross-Functional Collaborator: You work hand-in-hand with AEs, marketing, and RevOps to create alignment, close feedback loops, and make sure every rep is set up for success.
Sales Tech Fluency: You're comfortable setting up or optimizing tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, HubSpot, or Salesloft — and can spot inefficiencies a mile away.
Culture Builder: You bring energy, resilience, and a high bar for excellence. You know how to create a high-performance culture that SDRs want to be a part of — even on the hard days.
