About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Engineer to be the first IT hire at Jump. This isn’t a typical IT role—you’ll be setting strategy, designing systems & processes, and implementing them yourself. You’ll work directly with leaders across our company to make decisions about our technology stack and IT processes.

But this is still a very operational role. You’ll also be directly managing the systems you implement, handling the company help desk, and supporting executives.

• Build from the ground up: You’ll take a look at what got us this far, then define our core IT strategy. Then you’ll design, implement, and manage the systems we need.

• Own the function: You’ll report to the Head of Security, with considerable autonomy on the direction of the function.

• Build for Scale: We’re rapidly scaling headcount; you’ll be designing systems assuming 10x growth over the next few years.

About You

• Default to action: You want to understand problems, make decisions, and get straight to solving them.

• Comfort with uncertainty: We’re building solutions for the company we will be; you have to be comfortable making bets on the future.

• Excellent at operations: You will be operating the processes and procedures that you build, and training others to do it too.

• Empathetic communicator: You need to be able to work well with everyone from executives to interns, account reps to engineers.

What You’ve Done

• At least five years of experience working in IT roles, with at least two years working at a senior level.

• You have significant experience managing the core technologies typically used by B2B SaaS organizations (MDM, IdP, asset tracking, SaaS management, etc.) as well as Apple workstation management.

• You have experience managing IT deployments which materially affected the organization you worked for.

• We prefer to see experience working in a startup or scale-up environment, as well as experience in hybrid or fully-remote organizations.

• We prefer to see leadership experience, either through management or technical leadership.

This position can be fully remote, though you will be supporting an office in Salt Lake City, UT. Occasional travel will be required.
