Sales Development Manager

Title - Sales Development Manager

Location - [Draper, UT or Remote]

About the Role

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of SDRs focused on outbound prospecting

  • Own pipeline generation goals and report on key metrics (meetings booked, conversion, activity, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine ICP, messaging, and campaign strategy

  • Implement tooling and processes for outreach, sequencing, and performance tracking

  • Create a culture of learning, energy, and accountability

  • Own onboarding and training of new SDRs through structured, repeatable programs that ramp reps quickly and effectively

  • Conduct regular coaching sessions to develop SDR skills in prospecting, objection handling, and qualification

  • Partner with sales leaders to identify target accounts and craft outreach strategies for outbound campaigns

  • Present team performance and strategic insights to leadership, aligning on growth opportunities and resource needs

  • Continuously refine playbooks and processes to improve team productivity and effectiveness

  • Help Jump stay the category leader, trusted and loved by customers

  • Help build Jump into a career-making, exceptional place to work

About You

  • You want to have real impact helping to build an early-stage AI software company serving financial advisors and other financial services

  • You understand what it means to work at a very early stage tech company and are super excited about the related opportunities and challenges

  • You’re energized by building from scratch — playbooks, onboarding, processes, and culture — rather than inheriting something fully baked

  • You’re comfortable operating with imperfect information and making strong decisions anyway

  • You believe great SDR teams are built through clarity, coaching, and accountability, not micromanagement

  • You enjoy being close to the work: listening to calls, reviewing sequences, jumping into the field when needed

  • You care deeply about developing people and take pride in seeing SDRs grow into top performers, AEs, or future leaders

  • You’re excited by AI, curious about how it changes sales workflows, and eager to help translate a powerful product into clear, compelling conversations

  • You bring structure without slowing things down and urgency without burning people out

What You’ve Done

  • 2+ years of experience in sales development, with 1–3+ years managing or leading SDRs

  • Experience building, scaling, or materially improving an SDR function in a startup or high-growth B2B environment

  • Proven ability to coach SDRs on:

    • Objection handling

    • Cold calling and cold email

    • Discovery and meeting qualification

  • Track record of owning and hitting SDR performance targets (meetings booked, pipeline created, conversion rates, ramp time)

  • Experience building or refining:

    • SDR onboarding programs

    • Call scripts and talk tracks

    • Objection-handling frameworks

  • Strong understanding of outbound and inbound sales motions and how they differ

  • Comfort working hands-on in modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Calendly, Nooks)

  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into coaching and process improvements

  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with AEs, Marketing, and RevOps

Preferred:

  • Experience at an early-stage (Seed–Series C) B2B SaaS company

  • Experience selling into financial services, fintech, or advisor-focused markets

  • Experience hiring SDRs and building a team from an early foundation

  • Familiarity with AI-driven sales tools or AI-native products

  • Experience helping SDRs transition into AE roles

  • Prior experience as a top-performing SDR or AE
