ABOUT THIS ROLE

LVT is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our cloud platform team. You will partner with senior engineers to build powerful, scalable software that directly impacts community safety and security. This role is designed for those eager to dive into high-scale cloud architecture and Agile development. By the end of this internship, you will have gained hands-on experience in full-cycle software delivery—from code reviews and debugging to feature deployment—and contributed to production-level cloud services that support real-time video streaming, advanced analytics, and system health monitoring.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to Cloud Platform Development, enhancing mission-critical features that support real-time video streaming and large-scale analytics.

• Participate in Technical Rigor through code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery and system reliability.

• Develop System Health Tools, building and refining features that monitor the performance and stability of our global device network.

• Engage in Agile Processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive team efficiency.

• Collaborate on Scalable Architecture, helping senior engineers design and implement software that can handle growing data and user demands.

• Document and Maintain Code, ensuring that new features are well-documented and follow engineering best practices for long-term sustainability.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Academic Foundation: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

• Programming Proficiency: Competence in at least one modern language, such as TypeScript, Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Technical Familiarity: A foundational understanding of modern web development frameworks and tools.

• Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a genuine passion for innovation and solving complex technical challenges.

• Effective Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
