Position Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead a celebrated team focused on winning together. The Controller will work alongside the CFO to provide actionable insights into the company’s finances for company leadership. We are looking for someone with strong technical accounting skills along with financial planning and analysis skills. Leadership qualities that align with company values and cultural beliefs are critical to this role.

Principal Responsibilities

Leadership responsibility for accounting team in addition to guiding other leaders
Prepare financial reporting package--monthly, quarterly, and annually
Manage annual financial audits with outside auditors
Manage revenue recognition for SaaS
Account for stock options & warrants
Supervise accounting operations (A/P, A/R, Collections, Commissions, and payroll)
Implement and monitor Internal Controls
Manage international transactions and multiple currencies
Monitor line of credit
Maintain financial systems including Campfire (just replaced Netsuite) and Planful
Research and implement new planning system to replace Planful
Own financial planning and analysis (long-term forecasting, scenario planning, budgeting, reforecasting, rolling forecast, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

Confidence in learning abilities--Very little training time is available so only apply if you have experience and a lot of confidence in your ability to learn quickly from the outgoing Controller.
Subject Matter Expertise: Bring your accounting and FP&A expertise. Preference given to those with SaaS accounting experience.
Understanding of taxes and related reporting requirements
Experience: 2+ years of public accounting (national or top regional firm) or similar experience in publicly reporting entity
Education: Masters in Accounting
Certification: CPA required
Technology savvy
Excel and data interaction should be second nature—bring your expertise, it will be needed
Campfire, Netsuite, Planful, Shareworks, and Avalara experience or on similar caliber systems
Extremely well organized
Willing attitude, consultative solution-oriented approach
