Strider is seeking a mission-driven Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to deliver cutting-edge technical solutions in dynamic, high-stakes environments. As a key member of our deployment team, you’ll bridge the gap between our advanced platform and real-world mission requirements—embedding with customers, engineering bespoke solutions, and serving as a trusted technical partner. Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on full-stack or systems-level development.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), APIs, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving mission contexts.
- Willingness to travel 30–70% of the time based on mission requirements.
- Active Level 3 security clearance or eligibility to obtain one strongly preferred.
Description
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be on the front lines of technical delivery—partnering directly with customers to tailor Strider’s platform to their specific mission needs. Your role will span engineering execution and mission integration, requiring technical depth, situational awareness, and operational agility.
You will:
- Architect, develop, and deploy mission-aligned software solutions in government and commercial environments.
- Collaborate with operators, analysts, and executives to translate evolving requirements into actionable technical outcomes.
- Integrate Strider’s platform with diverse data sources, internal workflows, and external IT systems.
- Build custom applications, features, and data pipelines that unlock insights from unstructured, multi-lingual datasets.
- Serve as Strider’s technical lead in the field, owning project outcomes from inception to implementation.
- Prototype quickly and iterate continuously, adapting to high-priority demands and real-time feedback.
- Provide critical field insights to inform and influence Strider’s internal product roadmap.
