About the Role

Torus is hiring an experienced Sr. IT Support Engineer to join our growing team and company. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting users in many aspects of Torus. The position will handle troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of Torus’ internal systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT related issues or requests via email, slack or submitted ticket.
  • Responsible for all aspects of an organization’s network systems including software, hardware and support.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes meticulously to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Manage the setup, configuration, and deployment of various platforms and systems across the organization.
  • Administer user access and permissions within systems and platforms, ensuring proper levels of security and data integrity.
  • Responsible for escalated technical issues.
  • Automate deployment and management of Identity tools.
  • Mentor and lead junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Respond to performance issues and service outages.
  • Documenting IT system configuration.
  • Updates/creates system documentation which may affect multiple teams.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Network Security/ Engineering/ Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Work experience may be evaluated in place of education.
  • 5+ years experience in information security including 3+ years experience in a senior or lead security engineer role.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT discipline, with responsibility for inventory management and hardware deployment for remote use.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux.
  • Experience working with IT LAN/WAN network applications/procedures and processes.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and GUI interfaces.
  • Understanding of routing and switching - hardware design and knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure components, and systems administration.
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of network security, web application security, and secure software development practices

Background Check All candidates are subject to a background check.
Location + Travel This position is primarily remote with in-office work as needed with some travel. The role is Utah-based remote with on-site work as needed in our South Salt Lake Headquarters Warehouse (air-conditioned). May require occasional onsite work in our Springville R&D warehouse (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned).
Schedule Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation $100,000 - 120,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)
