With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world’s largest, fastest-growing, and most innovative companies.
The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard’s vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.
Why are we hiring for this role?
We’re entering a critical growth phase and need a Performance Marketing Manager who can accelerate our global paid acquisition strategy. This isn’t just about running campaigns — it’s about taking the reins, scaling what already works, and building a disciplined testing roadmap to uncover the next big opportunities across products, regions, and channels. This is a key hire for the Growth Marketing team & we're looking for somebody special.
What will you accomplish?
- Own end-to-end performance marketing across all paid channels—switching smoothly between strategy and hands-on execution.
- Run a disciplined testing program & allocate budget confidently: Design and execute an experimentation framework to validate new channels (online: Meta, Reddit; offline: direct mail), scale winners, and cut losers.
- Deliver incremental pipeline growth & hit targets: Set channel strategy, allocate budgets, and manage day-to-day execution to drive measurable impact.
- Build layered, multi-product campaigns to drive net-new lead growth across new and existing products.
- Surface and act on early signals: Build reporting that tracks success metrics and financial KPIs; monitor input vs. output metrics to flag underperformance, tracking issues, or creative fatigue - and fix any issues fast.
- Turning insights into high-converting ads: Partner with design to produce high-converting ads aligned for new & existing products, whilst taking into account B2B funnel stages.
- Make clear, data-backed recommendations on where to double-spend, grounded in your analysis.
What do we need from you?
- Experience managing $1M+ annual media budgets across multiple channels, with a track record of profitably scaling investment.
- Zero-to-one channel builder—able to test, validate, scale, or shut down quickly when something isn’t working.
- Deep B2B attribution expertise across long, multi-touch cycles, with strong opinions on what to do to address tracking gaps when dealing with multiple data objects (ie, contacts, companies, & deals)
- Analytical and decisive—comfortable pulling insights from most tools (ie, Looker, Mixpanel, or raw exports), turning those into actions and closing the learn–iterate loop with the team.
- Metric decomposition: ability to work backwards from revenue to controllable inputs you can drive; define input vs. output metrics and the ability to link activity to these metrics and consistently report on them to the team.
- Solid experiment design process - can size tests, estimate run time, and apply statistical best practices to pick winners and losers.
- Creative collaborator – can help come up with unique hooks, and help design and use data to produce new winning ads.
What will give you an edge?
- Previous experience optimising for contacts, accounts in a B2B environment with longer sales cycles.
- Experience running both outbound account-targeted (ABM) and inbound campaigns successfully.
- Hands-on with conversion lift experiments, control groups, or MMM to measure incremental uplift and guide budget allocation.
- Experience testing offline acquisition methods (ie, direct mail).
What's in it for you:
- Monthly Lifestyle subsidy: Our employees use this for financial, physical, and mental well-being
- WFH set-up allowance: To ensure you have the right environment to work in, we will help you get set up within your first 3 months at UpGuard
- $1,500 USD annual Learning & Development allowance: To support your career development, all team members will be able to expense development opportunities against this allowance
- Generous Annual Leave/PTO allowances: Time to recharge your batteries
- 18 weeks paid Parental Leave: Irrespective of parenting role
- Personal Leave Allowance: This includes sick & carer’s leave
- Fully remote working environment: While we have physical offices in Sydney & Hobart, we do not mandate compulsory attendance
- Top-spec hardware: All team members will be provided with top-spec laptops for their roles
