We execute this by creating a budget that supports the short and long term vision of the company, reducing operating expenses utilizing financial data and automation, and providing accurate financial results to business users to enable them to make the best decisions.
Where does this role fit in?
The Senior Tax Manager will be a critical part of the Finance team, responsible for the technical execution and management of the company's global tax compliance, provision, and key tax planning initiatives. You will work closely with the V.P. of Finance to translate high-level tax strategy into operational reality, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all territories. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on leader to own core tax processes and drive continuous improvement through the use of technology.
The successful candidate will be a technical expert and process owner, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all tax compliance obligations. This role reports directly to the V.P. of Finance and will have significant cross-functional interaction with Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams globally.

What will you do?

  • Own and manage the global income tax provision process (ASC 740/IAS 12) from preparation to final audit review, including the effective tax rate calculation, deferred tax analysis, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Directly manage the preparation and timely filing of all domestic and international tax compliance obligations, including corporate income tax, sales and use tax, GST/VAT, and fringe benefit tax filings.
  • Oversee the accurate calculation and documentation of R&D Tax Credit claims, working directly with Engineering and Product teams to gather necessary data and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and third-party service providers, reviewing work deliverables and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Execute the company's global transfer pricing policies, ensuring contemporaneous documentation is maintained and systems are configured to support the current structure.
  • Assist the V.P. of Finance in modelling and analysing the tax implications of new business initiatives, international expansion, and corporate restructuring projects.
  • Support the diligence and integration phases of M&A activity, focusing on tax structuring, exposure analysis, and post-close compliance alignment.
  • Maintain and enforce tax governance policies and procedures, ensuring a strong internal control environment for tax processes.
  • Champion the use of technology (e.g., dedicated tax software, AI tools, RPA) to automate and enhance tax data gathering, compliance, and reporting processes, driving tangible improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise tax calendars and task management systems to ensure all deadlines are met.

What will you bring?

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 2 years managing core tax processes (tax compliance and provision), ideally in the technology or SaaS sector.
  • Deep technical proficiency in ASC 740/IAS 12 tax accounting.
  • A "roll up your sleeves" attitude, demonstrating ownership and a proven ability to manage complex, cyclical processes from start to finish with a high degree of independence.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy to ensure flawless execution of deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex tax issues to non-tax stakeholders across finance, legal, and operational teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

What will give you an edge?

  • Proven track record of using technology or AI tools for tax research, data analysis, or process automation to improve efficiency.
  • Experienced in working with finance, legal, product, and operational teams to achieve business goals.

What's in it for you?
