The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard’s vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.
Where does this role fit in?
This Director of Marketing Operations role is a critical part of the Demand Generation organisation. It is the technical and data-driven backbone that builds, maintains, and optimises the systems and processes needed to generate, manage, and report on marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue. This is a strategic role that ensures the entire marketing engine runs efficiently and provides accurate, actionable insights.
What will you do?
- Own the Marketing Tech Stack: Take full ownership of all marketing technologies, with a specific focus on optimising HubSpot Marketing Hub to its fullest potential.
- Design & Optimise Core Processes: Create and manage scalable, efficient processes for lead scoring, lead routing, database health, and attribution modelling.
- Enable Campaign Execution: Partner with the Growth and Brand & Content teams to build the workflows, segmentation, and tracking necessary for seamless and measurable campaign execution.
- Streamline Lead Management: Develop and implement the entire lead journey, from initial capture and enrichment to qualification and a smooth handoff to the sales team.
- Drive Funnel Visibility: Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting that provide real-time visibility into campaign ROI, funnel performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Revenue Operations, Sales, and Product to ensure all systems and data are aligned across the entire revenue funnel.
What will you bring?
- Deep Expertise in Marketing Operations: At least 7+ years of experience in a B2B marketing operations role, preferably within a high-growth SaaS environment.
- HubSpot Mastery: Extensive, hands-on administrative and technical knowledge of HubSpot's full capabilities, including its automation, reporting, and integrations.
- Data-Driven Mindset: A strong aptitude for using data to build actionable reports, interpret performance, and make strategic decisions.
- Systems Thinking: The ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable, tech-enabled solutions and workflows.
- Process-Oriented: A proven track record of creating and scaling efficient lead management and campaign execution processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: The ability to partner effectively with various teams to align on shared goals and drive unified outcomes.

- Operational Innovation: A track record of identifying and leveraging underutilised features or tools to unlock new levels of efficiency, personalisation, or insight.
- AI & Automation Proficiency: Experience in leveraging AI-assisted tools within marketing automation platforms to improve efficiency and engagement.
- Attribution Modelling Experience: A strong understanding of multi-touch attribution and experience building models that accurately measure marketing's impact on revenue.
