What We Are Looking For:

The Senior Controller oversees all accounting operations, ensuring timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. This role manages day-to-day accounting functions, budgeting, and internal controls while driving process improvements and coordinating audits. The ideal candidate will provide high-level financial analysis and align financial strategies with company goals.

What You Will Do:

• Plan, direct and coordinate all operational accounting functions.
• Prepare both internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform day-to-day accounting functions such as payroll, AP and AR, Revenue and Expense recognition ensuring both timeliness and accuracy.
• Manage and lead the company budget-setting and monitoring processes.
• Create and implement consistent accounting policies, using best practices and procedures.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent company health through accurate and timely reporting.
• Continuously search for and implement process improvements in order to support scale.
• Ensuring compliance with industry revenue recognition standards and other financial and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and lead internal audit processes and coordinate with external auditors.
• High-level financial reporting and analysis.
• Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
• Mentor and lead junior accounting staff members.

What We Want:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred with 8+ years of experience in accounting leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition standards, and regulatory compliance.
• The ability to guide others and take ownership of the company’s books.
• Strong experience with financial reporting and budget management.
• Proven experience in process improvements and scaling financial operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis and benchmarking.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and effectively communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
